The Story Behind the Wine:
Domaine Sylvaine & Alain Normand, established in the early 1990s, is nestled in La Roche-Vineuse within the Mâconnais region. Alain Normand, originally from the Loire Valley, met Sylvaine, a native Burgundian, at the wine school in Beaune. Together, they began their journey by revitalizing an abandoned vineyard through a sharecropping contract. Their dedication to respecting the terroir and producing natural quality wines has led to a 35-hectare estate, certified Terra Vitis and in its third year of organic conversion.
This Pouilly-Fuissé pairs beautifully with:
- Seafood: Grilled scallops or lobster enhance the wine's citrus and mineral notes.
- Poultry: Roast chicken or turkey complements its fruity and floral aromas.
- Cheeses: Soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert harmonize with its creamy texture.
