The Story Behind the Wine: Emmolo Winery, established in 1994 by Cheryl Emmolo, carries a rich family legacy in Napa Valley viticulture. The Emmolo family's roots trace back to 1923 when Salvatore Emmolo founded a grapevine rootstock nursery in Rutherford, supplying many of the region's vineyards. Today, the winery is led by Jenny Wagner, Cheryl's daughter and a member of the Wagner family, renowned for their contributions to Napa Valley's wine industry, including the esteemed Caymus Vineyards. Jenny's approach to winemaking blends traditional practices with innovative techniques, resulting in wines that reflect both heritage and modernity.
