The Story Behind the Wine:

Clos du Chapitre is a monopole (exclusive vineyard) of the Dufouleur family, making it one of the crown jewels of their estate. The vines, averaging 65 years of age, are planted on the slopes of the Côte de Nuits in the Fixin appellation, neighboring the famous village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The 2017 vintage was hand-harvested, meticulously sorted, and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (one-third new). This combination of traditional winemaking and the unique terroir of Fixin results in a wine with both power and elegance​.
